Aegean Airlines Virtual operations has begun back in September 2004.


As the first ever and only, Aegean Airlines Virtual at the entire flight simulation network, IVAO, VATSIM and FPI, the new Greek virtual airline company, has begun advanced operations with objectives to create the essential conditions, in order that each friend of flight simulation community, via the company, acquire the most around.

With educations, common flights, evaluations, examinations and frequent presence in the virtual air space, the members of Aegean Airlines Virtual, have the possibility of acquiring important knowledge about flights, virtual and not, simultaneously to pass their free time creative.

At the beginning the activities of Aegean Airlines Virtual were limited in the network of IVAO . This happened for two reasons: firstly, because the initial members of Aegean Airlines Virtual emanated from persons of Greek Department of IVAO and, secondly because the initial system of evaluation of virtual flights and registration of operators they were supported in the bases of data of IVAO.

At the Summer of the year 2005 our virtual company has begun operations at Vatsim and FPI online flight simulation networks.

By the means 2005, it was imported in Aegean Airlines Virtual a unique for virtual air companies system, which, no unfairly, is characterized her core of operation.

Flight Operations Center (FOC) is an automated system of information, entrusting of flights and recording of elements for each operator, which is world innovation of Aegean Airlines Virtual as for the operation and structure.

The FOC was enriched in October 2005 with something pioneering: The control, the evaluation and the recording of flights, based on IVAO, Vatsim and FPI data. Simultaneously, the system can handle the entry of new members in the company, independent organism that they belong.

Additional operations as automated drawings of flight with the running time, search meteorological, creation of common flights etc. render the FOC a dynamic and renewable base of report on each virtual flight and activity.

With the new data, since means 2005, Aegean Airlines Virtual is an independent from networks company, which offers the user, the freedom to select his activity network.

Under this prism, the operator of Aegean Airlines Virtual, can achieve the most of flight simulation community and virtual flights.
